Unlocking Accounts

Quadrant Self Service automatically locks a user account if too many failed login attempts occur in succession. A locked account must be manually unlocked by an administrator before it can be used again. This feature is designed to prevent repeated attempts from being used to gain access to an account.

Note! The user receives the same message when attempting to login to a disabled or locked account as they do if they type their password incorrectly. If Email Password Recovery is enabled using the Quadrant Self Service Configuration Utility, users can unlock their account by retrieving a new password. By default this functionality is enabled but employee accounts cannot use it.
